If you plan to hire us, or anyone for that matter, to get drone assets, it’s required that the pilot be certified by the FAA to operate a drone for commercial use. Why is it important for you? The FAA can also fine you for hiring an unlicensed pilot. SkyDog Media is licensed AND insured to fly drones, and we have the documentation to prove it. We are looking out for our clients as well as ourselves.

Benjamin, owner of SkyDog Media, graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in television production and directing. He followed that up with finishing his degree in an intensive, six week abroad program in Los Angelos.

After he graduated he worked at WNDU, an NBC affiliate in South Bend, IN for five years. Here, he was a photojournalist and producer of an Emmy nominated series and won an Edward R. Murrow award for that series.

Now, Benjamin works for Conn-Selmer as their product photographer and videographer. But he also runs SkyDog Media, an enterprise he has dreamed of owning for years.

SkyDog Films is based in Niles, MI, but we serve the entire Michiana area and beyond (within reason of course!)

Why the name? Well drones have a lot to do with it, but Benjamin and his wife Ciarra are huge animal fans, and the dog in our logo is their dog Paisley!
